Troy Hysmith

Chief Financial Officer

Troy Hysmith serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Staff at Carnegie Foundry, where he leads the firm's financial strategy, operational execution, and organizational planning. Working closely with the executive team, he helps guide the firm's growth by aligning finance, operations, governance, and strategic initiatives to support innovation and long-term value creation.

He oversees all aspects of the firm's financial management, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, treasury, financial reporting, internal controls, debt and equity structures, payroll and benefits, and financial modeling. His responsibilities also include supporting fundraising initiatives, investor due diligence, business development, and board governance, ensuring the firm is well positioned to execute its strategic vision and scale responsibly. With more than 25 years of executive leadership experience, Hysmith brings a multidisciplinary perspective that combines financial stewardship, enterprise transformation, operational excellence, and risk management across the private, nonprofit, and mission-driven sectors.

Before joining Carnegie Foundry, Hysmith held senior leadership roles across both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, including American Psychological Association, The Nature Conservancy, Bank of America, and Deloitte Consulting. Throughout his career, he has led enterprise-wide initiatives spanning finance, investment management, procurement, enterprise risk management, business operations, real estate, and organizational transformation. He has partnered with executive leadership teams and boards to improve organizational performance, strengthen governance, optimize operations, and guide organizations through periods of significant growth and change.
