Carnegie Foundry Expands into Federal and International Markets Through Strategic Partnership with Federal Resources Corporation

Thursday Jun 25th, 2026

PITTSBURGH, PA and ERIE, PA - June 17, 2026 — Carnegie Foundry LLC, a Pittsburgh-based robotics and artificial intelligence venture studio, today announced a strategic partnership with Federal Resources Corporation (FRC), a mission-focused technology company with deep federal market experience, cybersecurity expertise, and international business development capabilities. The partnership marks a significant strategic expansion for Carnegie Foundry, positioning its portfolio of AI and robotics technologies for accelerated adoption across U.S. federal agencies, international markets, and critical infrastructure sectors.

The two organizations have formed a strategic partnership under which FRC will serve as a key market development and commercialization partner for Carnegie Foundry and its portfolio companies: Freespace Robotics, Thryve Labs, and VoxEQ, as well as future companies launched from the Carnegie Foundry venture studio.

Opening New Markets for Breakthrough Robotics and AI

Carnegie Foundry was founded on a core conviction: that Pittsburgh's deep engineering heritage and world-class research institutions could serve as the launchpad for companies transforming how the world works. With portfolio companies pushing the frontier in spatial robotics, AI-powered care, and voice-driven analytics, the next imperative is clear - getting these technologies into the hands of the customers and missions that need them most.

The partnership with FRC directly addresses that imperative.

"FRC brings deep expertise in public sector markets, international business development, and mission-critical technology adoption," said Dr. Robert J. Szczerba, CEO of Carnegie Foundry. "Together, we believe we can accelerate the deployment of innovative solutions that create meaningful value for customers and stakeholders."

FRC's established federal contract vehicles, including NASA SEWP V and GSA IT-70 Schedule, combined with its CMMI® Maturity Level 3 certification and ISO 9001:2015 compliance, provide Carnegie Foundry portfolio companies with immediate access to credentialed, low-friction pathway into complex federal procurement environments.

A Partnership Built for Federal and International Scale

FRC brings more than contract vehicles. With international operations coordinated through Belgium and an active international business development network, FRC and Carnegie Foundry are better positioned to pursue licensing, market-entry, and strategic partnership opportunities across allied nations and international markets, a priority of growing importance as U.S. allies accelerate investment in robotics, autonomous systems, and AI-enabled capabilities.

Jeremy Young Joins Carnegie Foundry Advisory Board

As part of the partnership, Carnegie Foundry intends to appoint Jeremy Young, CEO of FRC to the Carnegie Foundry Advisory Board. Young's advisory focus will span federal market strategy, international business development, strategic partnerships, cybersecurity, and investor introductions - extending Carnegie Foundry's strategic reach across each of these high-priority domains.

"This partnership aligns with our vision of helping innovative companies bridge the gap between breakthrough technology and real-world impact," said Jeremy Young, CEO of FRC. " Carnegie Foundry is building and scaling technologies that have the potential to solve some of the most important challenges facing government, industry, and society. We are excited to support Carnegie Foundry and its portfolio companies while creating new opportunities for customers, partners, and communities."

Strengthening Pennsylvania's Innovation Ecosystem

The Carnegie Foundry - FRC partnership also reinforces western Pennsylvania's growing stature as a national hub for robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced technology development. By creating a credentialed, mission-aligned bridge between Pittsburgh's innovation ecosystem and federal and international markets, the partnership aims to demonstrate that breakthrough deep tech can be built, scaled, and deployed from the Commonwealth.
